These terms are a contract between your business and Luke McCormack, trading as Antsistant ("we", "us"), for the use of Antsistant. By creating an account or ticking "I agree", you accept them on behalf of your business. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. The data processing agreement in the Schedule at the end forms part of these terms.
Antsistant is for businesses: sole traders, partnerships and companies. You must be 18 or over and allowed to agree to these terms for your business. Because you use it for business, consumer protection rules for personal purchases do not apply.
Keep your email account secure. Anyone who can read your sign-in codes can get into Antsistant.
You are responsible for what happens on your account, including what your staff do.
Staff you invite only see the jobs given to them. You can remove them at any time.
Tell us straight away at hello@antsistant.co.uk if you think someone has got into your account.
Free trial. New accounts get a 14-day free trial. We will remind you before it ends. If you don't choose a plan, the account becomes read-only, and nothing is deleted for 90 days.
Prices. Plan prices are shown in the app and on our website, in pounds and including VAT where it applies. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price rise.
Payment. Subscriptions are paid monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe, or through Apple or Google if you subscribe in their app store. Their payment terms also apply.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in the app (More → Plan and account) or through your app store. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable for part-used periods, except where the law says otherwise or we have broken these terms.
Late payment. If a payment fails and isn't sorted within 14 days, we may limit your account to read-only until it is.
Your customers' data. You decide what you keep about your customers and why, so you are the data controller. You must:
have a lawful reason to keep their details, and tell them you use Antsistant (for example in your own privacy notice)
only add people's details that you are allowed to use, including contacts you import from your phone
deal with your customers' requests about their data. We will help you, as set out in the Schedule.
Messages you send. Messages, reminders, review requests and "refer a friend" links are sent by you, from your own phone, WhatsApp or email. You are responsible for their content. Only send marketing to people who have agreed to it or who would reasonably expect it, under PECR.
Your work and documents. Quotes, invoices, certificates and job reports are your documents. You are responsible for prices, VAT, and the accuracy of any safety or compliance certificate. Antsistant is a record-keeping tool and doesn't check your work.
Customer payments. Card payments from your customers go through Stripe under Stripe's own terms. Disputes, refunds and chargebacks are between you, your customer and Stripe.
Acceptable use. You must not:
break the law, or use Antsistant to harass, mislead or spam people
upload anything harmful, such as malware, or content you have no right to use
try to get into other accounts, test our security without permission, or copy or resell the app
overload the service or get around its limits
We aim to keep Antsistant running all the time but can't promise it will never be down, for example during maintenance or outages at our suppliers. The app saves your work offline and sends it when you're back online.
We improve the app regularly. We may change or remove features, and will give you reasonable notice of any major change that affects you.
Features marked test mode or beta (for example card payments or QuickBooks before they go live) are for trying out only. No real money moves in test mode.
Your data stays yours. You can export your records at any time. We only use them to run and support Antsistant for you.
Antsistant, its design and its code belong to us. We give you a licence to use it while your subscription is active.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
We are not liable for loss of profit, business, revenue or goodwill, or for indirect losses.
We are not responsible for your work, your documents or certificates, your messages to customers, or payments handled by Stripe, Apple or Google.
Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or £100 if that is more.
You can delete your account at any time in the app (More → Plan and account → Delete my account). Export anything you need first.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or don't pay. We will warn you first unless there is a risk of harm or the law requires us to act.
If we stop running Antsistant, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your data.
After an account closes, we delete its data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes at least 30 days before they apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts will deal with any disputes. Please contact hello@antsistant.co.uk first so we can try to sort things out.
This Schedule applies whenever we process personal data about your customers or staff for you. It meets Article 28 of the UK GDPR. You are the controller and we are the processor.
The processing
| What and why | Storing and organising your bookings, quotes, invoices, job records, messages and customer pages so we can provide Antsistant |
| How long | For as long as your account is open, then deletion as in point 8 |
| Whose data | Your customers, enquirers, people they refer, and your staff |
| Types of data | Names, contact details, addresses, details of vehicles, properties, pets or items, job notes, photos, signatures, certificates, payment records, messages, ratings |
| Special category data | Not expected. Don't add health or similar sensitive details unless you need them for the job and have a lawful basis |
What we promise
We only process the data on your documented instructions, which are these terms and how you use the app. If we think an instruction breaks data protection law, we will tell you.
Everyone who works on Antsistant is bound to keep the data confidential.
We keep appropriate security measures in place, including encryption, separation between businesses, access controls and backups.
You allow us to use the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before adding or changing one, and you may object. If we can't resolve your objection, you can cancel and we will refund any unused prepaid period. We stay responsible for our sub-processors.
If data goes outside the UK, we use an adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
We will help you answer your customers' requests to see, correct or delete their data. Most of this you can do in the app yourself.
If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your data, we will tell you without undue delay, and within 48 hours where we can. We will give you the information you need to report it.
When your account closes, we delete your data within 30 days, with backups clearing within a further 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep it. You can export it first.
We will help you with security, breach reporting and data protection impact assessments where reasonable. We will give you the information you need to show we meet this Schedule. This includes a reasonable audit once a year, on 30 days' notice, at your cost.
Your part. You make sure you have a lawful basis for the data you put in Antsistant, and that your instructions to us follow data protection law.
